Tepora Puekpuke
I started supervising in August 2015. I offer external, clinical and cultural supervision.
I prioritise the supervisory needs of Māori and Pasifika, along with other professionals who wish to strengthen their allied relationship with Māori. I use a layered approach;
– solutions-focused perspective
– kaupapa Māori principles and,
– transformative practice.
My supervisees rejoice in our sessions by being able to concentrate on their practice narratives and the strengths they bring to their roles. In supervision, I group the discussions around self, services and profession:
Self – we start promptly, and get straight to it. A quick check in and then your agenda. A chance to deepen your sense of identity professionally and personally in relation to your mahi.
Service – a chance to break down your day-to-day, challenges and celebrations in your work. Analysis of what is working and how to progress the difficult. Upfront is safe practice. Targeted support for those continuing to study and emerging (new graduate) professionals
Profession – models and theories, and other literature. Explore analysis of systems, policies and legislation.
