Angel Tiatia-Siau
Talofa lava, my name is Seiuli Angel Timali Tiatia-Siau. I am a proud queer Sāmoan, indigenous to Tutuila, American Sāmoa, with ancestral ties to Fagasā in Tutuila, and to Tuana’i, Lalomanu in Upolu, and Sapapali‘i in Savai’i. I was raised and educated in South Auckland, where my passion for service, connection, and community was shaped and strengthened. My work is grounded in the values of alofa, tautua, and vā fealoa‘i, principles that shape how I serve and lead within mental health and addictions spaces.
I hold a Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health and Addictions and a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling. Over the years, I’ve worked across frontline youth justice, AOD assessments and facilitation in prisons, tertiary education, and a community initiative with a gendered approach, always with a heart for uplifting Pacific people and stories.
As a supervisor, I create culturally safe and reflective spaces where practitioners can explore their practice with honesty, authenticity, compassion, and cultural integrity. I am fluent in both English and gagana Sāmoa. My approach weaves together Pacific knowledge systems with evidence-based models to nurture both professional growth and collective wellbeing.
